Kazue McGregor, M.M., CERTIFIED educational planner (CEP)
After a full career in the performing arts, Kazue McGregor brings her passion, creativity, mentoring and organizational skills to guiding students in the college selection and admission process. In 2011, she founded Exploring College Choices after earning a Certificate in College Counseling with Distinction from UCLA, that included a practicum in a Los Angeles public high school. In May 2018, Ms. McGregor was designated as a CEP by the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP), awarded only to professionals working independently or in schools who have achieved the highest level of competence in educational planning, who adhere to a strict code of ethics and professional practices, and are re-certified every five years. She is an active member of several professional organizations and enjoys mentoring younger professionals.
Committed to serving students and families with up-to-date information in higher education, Ms. McGregor actively pursues professional development through conferences, webinars, forums and campus visits to more than 20 colleges each year.
She and her husband have two children who are professionally active in the arts.
