freshmen and sophomore students should FOCUS on transitioning successfully to high school, becoming the best studentS they can be in the classroom and engage in extracurriculars that are of true interest to THEM.

These are things you can control and it will matter to colleges in a few years. My role is to supplement the high school college counseling office by offering the following.

Freshmen and Sophomores

· Advise on the selection of high school courses

· Guide discussion on standardized testing

· Work on a timeline for student-athletes interested in playing collegiate sports

· Assist in college research and campus visits

· Discuss extracurricular activities and summer opportunities

· Provide information on financial aid and scholarship resources

· Guide resume preparation
